Chrissy pushed the elder wooden door open and tentatively took a step into the room. He normally wouldn't do this but after knocking for more than two minutes and even calling out three times his patience was tested and unaware that he was even being tested he resorted to trying the door knob which turned instantly, a test he passed by the way. The dimly lit entry-way seemed tidy holding am umbrella, a pair of shoes, a pink decorated flamingo, and two rain jackets. Seeing nothing out of order Chrissy cleared his throat and called out "Hello… is anyone there?" Receiving no reply he took a few steps into the living quarters. This room st
After 30 days you return.
Your glow pulsing through my window
Calling softly to me.
I leave and climb the tallest tree
to sit patiently waiting,
hooting, and braying, howling and croaking.
I hear it all while watching you move.
Then suddenly, I hear you and my smile
grows bigger than my face can hold
I stay and we share
until you and I part.
Our next visit growing closer each day.
Speaking has always been my problem.
When I was younger I spoke too much.
As I got older I spoke too little.
Everyone would judge and laugh. I, I, I, stutter I

from my mind fleeing desperately in search of sanctuary.
To be seen, acknowledged.
To be safe.
Then came you.
You listened, you opened your mind and heard what I had to say.
Your patience was unfathomable.
Then
The thunder convulsed, the earth crumbled
and the waves tore us infinitely apart.
Now when our eyes meet, our bodies coexist I freeze.
The turmoil within becomes too great.
I know not wether I am above the universe in d

The Snow Reveals the Truth
I stood there facing you. Breath flowing out of your mouth in a winding gray opaque trail heading toward the sky. Your nose bitten by Jack Frost was already cherry red and your bottom lip quivering unable to remain in place. You had called me out for a walk in the middle of winter. As we ascended the broken pavement to the hilltop overlooking the city after opening and closing your mouth you figured out the words you wanted to use. "I can hold your hand, I can look into your eyes, I can feel your muscles around me but something is missing, the big something. I love you, I have told you this I want to make you happy and I know you care for me
Walking down the bustling city sidewalk trying to avoid people, the tall broad shouldered man tried to find the building he had printed off directions for. It was 8:40 am and everyone around him knew exactly where he or she was headed and were impatiently moving around this newcomer. He knew he was close, the Daily Planet was supposed to be right around here. He looked up and there it was the golden spinning orb marking the building for the entire city to know that the news was best reported from this spot. He needed to get to the 53rd floor his interview scheduled at 9:00 sharp. He approached the revolving doors and manners taking over, he m

Last Day On Earth Part II
Why was someone else here she wondered? She had hoped to be the only one left in the city. She recalled the last few days working nonstop at the hospital. They had been transferring patients by helicopter and loading tractor trailers in makeshift ambulances. The staff had started to leave with the patients and she had recently been promoted to one of the top doctoral levels. She knew she would stay until everyone had been safely evacuated.
Two days ago the last of the patients had been moved on a helicopter. There had hardly been any room for of the patients and she overheard the pilots discussing how they could come back for her;
She was crying for what felt like the tenth time today. It had been one of those weeks, work was hell, it seemed everything was out to make her feel like giving up. The patients at the hospital only had harsh words to say and it rained most of the week; she always forgetting her jacket. It had been 3 months since he had broken up with her. She still thought of him daily he was the one for her. If he had known that her day had gone so badly he would have shown up with an umbrella and adoring words. He had been the one for her and for some reason he had simply left. He had given no reason, no explanation. She lay on her bed staring at the

Last day on earth part 1
The first day the news said that they had just received word from many scientists that something was headed for earth. It wasn't very large but enough to kill millions possibly billions depending on where it hit. This was immediately cross referenced by millions. World leaders spoke out some saying not to worry others giving advice on what to do.
As the days progressed the impact site was in the U.S. on the eastern border and the state that would receive the full hit would be Kentucky. The damage could reach states all the way to Florida and New York and as far west as Kansas. All of the states surrounding could be wiped out, so much of the
